Change Log
All notable changes made in this release – OnPrintShopv10.0 are documented here.
For you to check precisely what notable changes we have made and what changes you can expect in the upcoming release - OnPrintShopv10.0.
Until now, we have used URL Pattern with just the product, category, or group name, with no consideration for the hierarchy structure.
We have now changed the URL pattern and followed the hierarchical structure in this release. However, we have provided the admin with the setting in the SEO tab of Site Settings to choose the pattern to be used.
We have changed the UI of the Contents menu and created tabs of Dynamic Pages, Category and Fixed Pages for better usability and management.
- Earlier, admins could only create content pages; however, with this version, admins may now create CMS categories as well from the Category tab by clicking on the Add button and filling up the details.
- The Add Content page has been divided into three sections - General Information, SEO and Contents.
- While creating/editing any content page, the admin may enable any content page to be a blog by using the Blog Page setting in the Edit content page. This functionality will be used similarly to a blog that is created from the content management section.
- A block has been added to the blog page in the Page Contents, allowing the admin to utilize it on any page to display the blog block on the front.
Note: When the {% block_cms_blog %} is added in any page, all the CMS pages with "Blog Pages" setting is enabled will be displayed on that content page. If you want to display any specific page as Blog page, then add the page key separated by comma in the block {% block_cms_blog|{key1,key2,...}
- In addition, you can manage sidebar and widget for the Blog pages with the new settings added.
- With these settings, the CMS Category will now be shown in the sidebar.
Currently, the admin needs to upload the help template for all products with respective sizes; however, we implemented an enhancement and created the help template dynamically. For this, we have added one setting named "Dynamic Help Template" in the Admin >> Products >> Action >> Settings >> General tab:
Enabling this setting will give an option on the front store to download a dynamic product help template based on the product size on the product info page, upload center page, and download template page.
In this version, we’re introducing new UI/UX in the designer studio to enhance the user experience and make navigation easier.
- We removed the floating property panel and adjusted all of the actions in the top and left panels.
- There will no longer be a popup window in the designer studio, and everything will be adjusted on the top and left panels.
- We have enhanced the image gallery section (as displayed in the first image) so that customers can view a list of their uploaded or previously used images in the Upload tab, and if the customer is not logged in, it will have a login button, and customers can see the image that they uploaded without logging in, also that image will be available after they log in.
- You can also manage the background/pattern of the template from the top panel as shown below:
- The customers/admin will be able to view the view and search the templates from the template left panel:
In this release, we added a 2D preview option for all products so that users can see on the front and get a virtual feel (Real Preview) of how their product would look in real like Business cards, Boucher, Stickers. It will have a real preview in the template generated by both the admin and the user.
Henceforth, we have renamed the 3D Preview tab as the Real Preview in the designer studio setting along with the renaming the quick action buttons.
For creating a real preview (2D or 3D), you first need to create a preview model by clicking on the Real Preview Models button:
On the Add Real Preview Model page, you can need fill up the following details and Save and Back:
- Preview Type - select the preview type from 2D or 3D (For 3D preview, the steps remains the same)
- Title - enter a suitable title for the model
- Mask Image - upload the mask image for the 2D preview
- Custom Class - you can a class to differentiate the CSS for different preview models
- CSS - add the CSS to apply the preview on the templates.
After the Preview Model creation, the next step is the assigning the preview model to the product. From the Real Preview tab, click on the Assign Real Preview Models button.
Select the Preview Type, Product, type (size or product options) and then select the model created from the drop down. Activate the status of the model and save.
On the front end, the customer can view the real preview of the products on the Browse Design, Product Info page and on the My Saved Designs page.
In the version 10.0, we have relocated the “shipping package configuration” to the Shipping Methods listing page and removed from individual shipping methods configuration.
This will allow the admin to manage the package configurations for all shipping methods in one place.
Clicking on the Package Configuration from the top-right corner will redirect you to the Package Configuration page where you can create packages for individual products.
The screen will have quick links to import package configurations using template file, create and manage master packages along with managing the pricing.
In this version, we relocated several settings to respected settings and added new ones.
