overview & purpose overview & purpose previously, firebase dynamic links were used in the portfolio/design sharing service to generate short links for sharing saved designs and templates on social media since firebase shut down dynamic links on august 25, 2025and the service has been officially deprecated we have replaced this functionality with grovs io all new short links for saved designs will be generated through grovs io to ensure seamless sharing and long term reliability how to integrate how to integrate follow the steps below to configure grovs io in your domain sign up / log in go to the grovs platform and sign in with your account credentials if you don’t have an account, complete the sign up process create a project/app from the dashboard, create a new project or app to begin obtain your api key navigate to developers > access key copy the api key provided register your domain go to developers > web setup add and verify your domain set a link prefix (optional) navigate to link behaviour > domain define the link prefix if required for your setup configure fallback url (optional) go to link behaviour > redirect rules set up the fallback url for redirection when links cannot be resolved if you don’t set a redirect for a platform, this url will be used instead 4 admin panel configuration 4 admin panel configuration in admin panel, navigate to the admin >> store configuration >> external service settings >> social sharing >> portfolio/design sharing >> action menu >> edit option first of all, select the platforms for portfolio sharing the next step is to enable the short link generation feature now, enter the saved web api key save the details your integration is set up successfully the storefront ui/ux remains changed customers will continue to experience the same interface as before
