This property is useful if you are looking to assign a specific pattern for any block. An example of such a block can be a phone number, where you can maintain a proper format for the data entered in this block.

How to set up a pattern for a block like a Phone Number?

  • Select any product template and click on the Action button and select Manage Blocks from the drop-down.
  • From the Manage Blocks tab, click on the Manage Properties link of any block.
  • In the Manage Properties screen, click on the Add button from the top-right corner to add a property.
  • In the property drop-down, select Text Formatting.
  • Configure the properties:
    • Pattern: Assign a pattern for labeling the block.
    • Characters allowed: Select the character type allowed to be entered by the user from the drop-down: All, Only Numbers, Only Alphabets or Only Alphanumeric.
    • Style: Select the Style case the entered data should be in, such as Uppercase, Lowercase or Camel case.
    • Clip path: In the Clip path, enter the SVG path if you wish to make use of curved text in this particular block. This property is useful if you want text on the customer’s design image to be shown in curved text format.

How to define a pattern?

  • For Label - Company Name can have a pattern as {**}. Here, {**} will be replaced by customer's string input.
  • For Phone Number - Phone number can have pattern as ####-###-(###). Here, ‘#’ is replaced by a single character entered by the user.
