Customer Settings
There are several customers related settings that you can set from the Customer Site Setting. The setting list includes some basic customer registration form settings, with an option to enable/disable guest customer login and newsletter block.
Let us understand the most important customer settings –
Send notification email to Customer when subscribing to Newsletter?
This will send a notification to your customers as soon as they subscribe to your newsletter.
Enable Newsletter Subscription Option?
If your company issues a newsletter of periodic updates, promotions, events then it is recommended to enable the newsletter option. This will help your customers opt for a newsletter subscription. This will help you maintain an ongoing connection with your ongoing connections.
Enable Guest Customer Login?
If this option is enabled then the customers will get the guest checkout option before the Order Checkout page. Here customers can enter their email address, shipping address and continue to checkout without registration.
Giving permission to guest checkout totally depends on your business model and your approach to communicating with the customers. Sometimes forcing a customer to register before completing the purchase can reduce the conversion rates. However, it is more easy to interact with a registered customer than the guest customer.
Once a customer finishes its order checkout as a guest customer you can easily make them registered customer.
Enable Authorization While Registering Default Store Customers
This helps the Admin take the authorization of registered customers. Enabling authorization will save you from spammers, take control over customer registration, and increase your shop security. Customers who are yet to receive the authorization will not be able to access your website.
- No – no authorization is required. As soon as the customer creates an account they can perform activities.
- Authorize from Admin – After successful registration, a customer will able to access their account only after the Admin activates their account from Admin Panel. After successful registration, the system will pop-up the following message.
- Authorization via Email Verification - After successful signup, the customer will receive an email to verify their account and then they can use their account for further activities.
Enable Add Pay on Balance for Customer At Front Side?
With this setting, you can control whether the customer should be allowed to add top-up into their pay on balance account or not.
If the setting is kept ON then the customer will add balance in their pay on account. My Account >> Manage Pay On Balance
Enable User Profile Update Notification
This setting will trigger an email notification on customer profile updates.
Enable ‘Agree to Terms & Condition’ option with value?
This setting allows the admin to keep a ‘Agree to Terms & Condition’ checkbox on the Storefront at Registration (Normal, Quick & Guest), Contact US & Newsletter Subscription block.
With the setting, the admin can enable/disable the appearance of the checkbox along with selecting if the checkbox should be be default checked/unchecked.
Other Settings
There are other settings as well where you can select to make certain customer registration fields mandatory or optional for the customers.

We have provided phone number validation via Google API, for the majority of countries across your Front-Store. This validation will automatically identify the country as well as validate its format and digit length based on country. Also, displays the flag of the respective country.
- Yes – The phone number will be validated
- No – The phone number will not be validated
At various instances, we have added two different styles to select the country and validate phone number.

- Inline Country Selection – We have provided a dropdown for the inline selection of country.
By default, the country selected by the customer during the time of registration will be displayed everywhere. If no country is available then the default country set by Admin will be selected.
