Design Proofs
The Design Proof feature, newly introduced in the Customer module, allows print buyers and admins to review and verify designs collaboratively before the order cycle begins. This feature ensures that designs are finalized accurately, reducing errors and improving customer satisfaction.
The Design Proof process, similar to Artwork Proofing, leverages two versatile tools: Standard Proofing and Visual Proofing. These tools provide flexibility in verifying designs based on the specific requirements of the project or customer preferences.
Based on the customer’s review, the proof can go through the following stages:
- Awaiting Proof Approval: The admin has shared the design with the customer and is waiting for their review and approval.
- Approved: The customer is satisfied with the design and approves it for further processing.
- Rejected: The customer declines the design, requiring the admin to provide an alternate version.
- Sent Back for Modifications: The customer provides feedback and requests specific changes to the design.
When a customer requests the admin to share a design for review and finalization, the admin can easily initiate the process. They simply input the relevant customer and design details into the system and select the appropriate proofing method—either Standard or Visual Proofing—to proceed:
Once the Design Proof is added to the system, the customer is automatically notified via a system-generated email containing details and instructions for reviewing the proof. For added convenience, the admin can also share the proofing link directly with the customer to streamline the communication process:
Once the customer approves the design, the admin can effortlessly convert the approved design into a confirmed order with just a few clicks:
In addition to converting the proofing directly into an order, the admin has the flexibility to manage the design proofing records efficiently. The admin can download the final proof for reference or offline use, make necessary edits to update the proofing details, or even delete the record from the listing if it is no longer needed.
Throughout every stage of the proofing process, the system ensures clear and consistent communication by sending the customer email notifications. These notifications can be customized and managed from the Email Notifications section in the admin panel:
