overview the product images tab allows administrators to upload and manage multiple images for a product these images are displayed on the product details page of the storefront and help showcase the product from different angles, variations, or use cases purpose the purpose of this tab is to provide customers with a clear visual representation of the product before purchase adding multiple product images helps customers better understand the product's appearance, features, and quality, resulting in a more informed buying decision and improved shopping experience we recommend that you name the image files as the product name sequence numbers this title is not displayed at the front end, but the sequenced name will help you in managing them configuration gallery setting before you start adding images, you need to specify how you want to add and display the images you can do this by clicking on the gallery setting button in the top right corner common the common image option allows administrators to upload product images that are displayed consistently across all product variants and configurations these images appear in the product gallery and help provide customers with a general visual representation of the product to add the common images, first click on the gallery setting button and set common as the gallery type and then save now, click on the add button specify the title, select the language(s), specify the sort order, select how the visual will be added images, videos or via embed code upload the file with recommended file extensions or enter the embed code, and then save you can also upload multiple images at once by selecting multiple images from the folder the images added with the common settings are always visible in the product gallery additional option wise you can bind the product images with the additional options instead of the attributes through this, you can showcase all the attributes of an additional option in a single image to your customers you can configure different images for each additional option example 1 the below example shows that an image is bound with the printing side additional option and when a customer clicks on the printing side option, they get to see the respective image being shown in the image gallery area example 2 similarly in the below example, an image is bound with the additional option corner thus, on the selection of the corner additional option, the image associated with it shows to bind the images with additional options follow the below steps from the gallery setting screen, choose option wise and save this will help you personalize the image gallery and showcase your additional option features via image, thus making the customer's overall interaction with the product more interactive now, from the listing page, click on the add button the select option dropdown (in step 3 as shown in the image), will list all the additional options of the product you can select any additional option and upload the image at a time if an image is added for ‘all language’ then one cannot add another image in a different language but, if an image is uploaded for a specific language then the system will not allow uploading any image for all languages but allows uploading images for another language(s) the system will also display the additional option name in an image gallery block attribute wise if a product has multiple options and you wish to bind each additional option attribute with a product image this means when a customer selects a specific additional option attribute then the product image bound with the option will be displayed taking the ref of the below image – when a customer clicks on various color blocks (which is an additional option named ‘color’ ), the t shirt of the selected color will be displayed to bind the images with additional option attributes, follow the below steps click on the gallery setting button and from the pop up screen, select the gallery type as " attribute wise " now, from the choose your option dropdown, select the additional option for which you want to add the attribute images click on the save to add the attribute wise images, click on the add button the select option dropdown (in step 3 as shown in the image), will list all the attributes of the selected additional option at a time you can select any one attribute and upload the image the system will also display the attribute name in an image gallery block refer from option now, you can set your preference for displaying the product images from the additional options at the storefront from the gallery setting screen, when the ‘ refer from option ’ gallery type is configured, the system will refer to the product’s additional option images instead of ‘product gallery’ images option combination wise configuration of images by combining different additional options is made possible now through this option, you can define the combination of additional options and upload images for it when your customers select the specified combination at the product price calculator only then does the product’s gallery image change, to give them a real time feel when the ‘option combination wise’ option is configured, you will have the provision to define the option combination through the ‘choose your option’ field as shown below select the additional options you want to combine in the ‘choose your option’ field and save the details now, it is time to create the combinations of attributes and add images for the same click on the add button specify the required details, select the combination of attributes on which you want to change the product gallery image in the ‘select option’, and upload the image file for the selected attributes in the ‘select option’ drop down under every additional option, you will find one default attribute – ‘hide option/select option’ you can utilize this option to display certain gallery images when you have marked an additional option as required (as when an additional option is marked as required, its default selected attribute is – ‘select option’) or when it’s hidden due to the option rule
