Gallery
This tab allows you to upload multiple images of the product. These images are displayed on your storefront’s products page. More product images help the customer in understanding better the product’s look and feel.
We recommend you name the image files as the Product Name sequence numbers. This title is not displayed at the front end but the sequenced name will help you in managing them.
Before you start adding images, you need to specify how you want to add and display the images. You can do this by clicking on the Gallery Setting button from the top right corner:
Default
The images added with Default settings are always visible in the product gallery.
With this option, the admin will only need to specify the title, select the language, specify the sort order, upload the image file with recommended file extensions, and then Save.
You can also upload multiple images at once by selecting multiple images from the folder.
Additional Option-wise
You can bind the product images with the Additional Options instead of the Attributes. Through this, you can showcase all the attributes of an additional option in a single image to your customers. You can configure different images for each additional option.
Example 1
The below example shows that an image is bound with the Printing Side additional option. And when a customer clicks on the Printing Side option, they get to see the respective image being shown in the image gallery area.
Example 2
Similarly in the below example, an image is bound with the Additional Option - Corner. Thus, on the selection of the Corner Additional Option, the image associated with it shows.
To bind the images with additional options follow the below steps:
- From the Gallery Setting screen, choose Option-wise.
- This will help you personalize the image gallery and showcase your additional option features via image, thus making the customer's overall interaction with the product more interactive.
- The Select Option dropdown (in step 3 as shown in the image), will list all the additional options of the product. You can select any additional option and upload the image at a time
- If an image is added for ‘All Language’ then one cannot add another image in a different language.
- But, if an image is uploaded for a specific language then the system will not allow uploading any image for All Languages but allows uploading images for another language(s).
- The system will also display the Additional Option Name in an image gallery block.
Attribute-wise
If a product has multiple options and you wish to bind each additional option attribute with a product image. This means when a customer selects a specific additional option attribute then the product image bound with the option will be displayed.
Taking the ref of the below image – when a customer clicks on various color blocks (which is an Additional Option named ‘Color’), the t-shirt of the selected color will be displayed:
To bind the images with additional option attributes, follow the below steps:
- Click on the Gallery Setting button and from the pop-up screen, select the Gallery Type as "Attribute-wise".
- Now, from the Choose Your Option dropdown, select the additional option for which you want to add the attribute images.
- The Select Option dropdown (in step 3 as shown in the image), will list all the attributes of the selected additional option. At a time you can select any one attribute and upload the image.
Refer from Option
Now, you can set your preference for displaying the product images from the Additional Options at the storefront.
When the ‘Refer from Option’ gallery type is configured, the system will refer to the Product’s Additional Option images instead of ‘Product gallery’ images.
Option Combination-wise
Configuration of images by combining different Additional Options is made possible now.
Through this option, you can define the combination of additional options and upload images for it. When your customers select the specified combination at the product price calculator only then does the product’s gallery image change, to give them a real-time feel.
When the ‘Option Combination-wise’ option is configured, you will have the provision to define the option combination through the ‘Choose Your Option’ field as shown below:
Select the additional options you want to combine in the ‘Choose your option’ field and save the details.
Now, it is time to create the combinations of attributes and add images for the same.
Specify the required details, select the combination of attributes on which you want to change the product gallery image in the ‘Select Option’, and upload the image file for the selected attributes.
In the ‘Select Option’ drop-down under every additional option, you will find one default attribute – ‘Hide Option/Select Option’. You can utilize this option to display certain gallery images when you have marked an additional option as required (as when an additional option is marked as required, its default selected attribute is – ‘Select option’) or when it’s hidden due to the option rule.
