Studio Fonts
Font selection is one of the most important features of any designer studio. The system allows you to add fonts as per your requirements and designs. For this, we have different sets of fonts available. Read along to understand how you can upload fonts other than those provided by the system.
Your admin panel comes with 40+ pre-configured fonts, which are enlisted here in this section (Admin >> Designer Studio >> Studio Fonts >> Default Fonts tab).
You can toggle the status to Green (Active) or Red (Inactive). On the Online Designer Studio of your storefront, fonts marked as active will show in the font dropdown list under the text editing options (Text Element and Text Area).
Additional fonts (apart from the pre-configured fonts) that are integrated into your system will be displayed here in this section (Admin >> Designer Studio >> Studio Fonts >> Client Fonts tab).
You can toggle the status to Green (Active) or Red (Inactive). On the Online Designer Studio of your storefront, fonts marked as active will show in the font dropdown list under the text editing options (Text Element and Text Area).
To add your own fonts click on the ‘Add Client Font’ button on the top-right corner of the studio fonts.
Here you will get the option to upload four types of Font File – Main font file, Italic font file, bold font file, and the Bold/Italic Font file.
Every device supports the different file formats of fonts. So for the fonts to work well on different devices, we advise you to upload all the mentioned file formats for a font like .ttf, .wof, .woff2, .eot, and .svg files.
If you do not have all the file formats that then use any website for the same. There are a number of websites where you can create different file formats. One such website is - https://transfonter.org/
Shaping – This feature allows you to add regional fonts and use them perfectly in the Designer Studio. The regional fonts added will not miss their shape and characteristics. The Shaping setting will help you maintain the integrity of each regional font and help your customers create a product design depending upon the Shaping Option (font type) chosen from the dropdown.
Shaping Options – This dropdown lists all the languages supported by the system. You can select any language depending on the font files uploaded.
Feature Options - PDFlib supports certain groups of OpenType features such as Western Typography, features for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean text, features for complex script shaping and vertical text output; these are automatically evaluated subject to the shaping and script options. The vert feature is controlled by the vertical font option.
