Yes, we have introduced interactive 3D previews for your products in the V9.0 Release.
After selecting the products and customizing the design, it will help your customers to know exactly how the product will look once it is printed. (Note: It is an Add-On feature)
We are offering two types of previews considering different types of products:
- 360° Preview – This preview is available to single-page or multi-page flat products like business cards, letterheads, brochures, pocket folders, etc.
- 3D Model Preview – This preview is available for model products like mugs, t-shirts, pillows, etc.
We also support custom models for other products like stubby holders, bottles, etc. with additional cost depending on its model creation complexity.
To show the 3D preview to your customer, first, you will have to configure the 3D Models and then assign those models to the respective product.
We have already added a watermark, "PROOF" but it won't visible when you do the PDF Preview while you are logged in as Admin in the Designer Studio.
If you want to check the watermark then, please try it on some other browser making sure that you are logged in as the customer and not as admin.
Yes, it is possible. You need to set the Font and Color options in the “Block Specific Personalization" property from the Manage Properties and need to disable the "Style Lock" for that Block.
Yes, now while creating the photobook products, you will have the option to create block PDF templates.
Designer Studio only supports RGB colors to be shown on screen.
We are generating the print-ready file with CMYK colors only if the customer has chosen the color from the color picker. Here, all the colors are added from the backend, so the mapping of HEX(RGB) to CMYK will be correct.
But, if the customer is not choosing the color from the inbuilt color picker in that case we do not have hex to CMYK binding of the color which the customer has entered. In that case, we are generating a print-ready file with the RGB colors to match the output.
If you want the customer's entered CMYK color in the print-ready file than, we have one setting for that to use the CMYK color. But here, in that case, there can be chances of the differences in print-ready file color and designer studio color as the designer studio will show RGB equivalent color and the print-ready file will be generated using pure CMYK color.
For RGB/CMYK mapping we have provided a mapping section where you can define the RGB value and associate a CMYK color value with it as per your printer’s specification. Check RGB/CMYK Mapping Section in Color Settings.

Resolution refers to the number of pixels in an image. Resolution is sometimes referred to by the width and height of the image as well as the total number of pixels in the image.
For example, an image that is 1600 pixels wide and 1200 pixels high (1600x1200) contains 1,920,000 pixels (or almost 2 Megapixels).
It is possible that your customers may upload a low-resolution image and may continue to order. This will overall decrease the print quality and lead to the delivery of blurred orders.
To save customers you can manage a setting Show warning message if any page has a low resolution or empty image placeholders from Designer Studio >> Studio Settings.
Image quality check returns Low, Medium, and High values for every image added in the Designer Studio.
In our OnPrintShop system, we run a series of calculations and return the image quality value to the customers. Consider an image (as shown in the image above) with Height and Width – 1920 x 1280 Here, the width of the image is 1920 and the height is 1280. Suppose, you add this image in the studio with width and height – 1286 x 857 Converting this into Inches:
- Width = 1286/72 = 17.86
- Height = 857/72 = 11.9
Converting this height and width (inches) into DPI:
- 1920/17.86 = 107.5
- 1280/11.9 = 107.5
The average DPI of height and width is 107.5 Now, the system will check the Studio Setting – Configure minimum dpi to avoid poor image quality and Configure minimum dpi to achieve high image quality
If the DPI is less than 72 then, the image will be considered of Low Quality. If the DPI is greater than 150 then, the image will be considered of high quality. The DPI of the image above is 107.5 thus the image is of Medium Quality.
If the product preview image is very big and the DPI, Maximum Width, and Height are set low, then the preview image will look blurred.
Similarly, if the preview image is very small and the DPI, Maximum Width, and Height are set high, then the preview image will look blurred.
So, it is recommended to set the DPI, Maximum Width, and Height according to the Product Size i.e. the Product Preview Image.
If the preview image does not load with the color, then it is possible that the Default Images uploaded for the t-shirt product are not correct. You can create the Product Default Images by following the steps given on Product Mask Image Creation and later upload the correct default images for the T-Shirt Promotional Product. To upload the images, go to,
- T-shirt Product >> Promotional Tab
- In the Size & Page tab, upload the default images according to page names.
If the problem persists then, connected with our support and technical team at [email protected]
Templates do not load with images because of the following reason –
- After you switch from the OnPrintShop domain to your parked domain, make sure you are always opening/using the new parked domain. If you are still using the OnPrintShop domain after your domain is parked, then the templates will load without image only.
- Use the parked domain and if the problem persists then contact [email protected]
Yes, you can allow your customers to upload photos from their mobile (cell phone) using the QR Code for easy personalization especially useful for Photo Prints Products.
