What is quote management?
When your customers like to know the details of a particular product, which you may or may not have displayed on the storefront/website then in that situation, your customer can place an inquiry in the form of Quote. You as an admin reply to the quote with proper pricing and answers to queries asked by the customer. When your customer agrees to the pricing and other terms, they approve the quote and place an order. This whole cycle is called quote management.
Can I enable or disable the Quote Module from my end? And how?
Yes, you can enable or disable the Quote Module from your admin panel as per your business needs. To manage the status of the Quote Module, follow the below steps:
- Navigate to Admin >> Store Configuration >> Site Settings and search “Quote”.
- Under the ‘Store Configuration’ tab, locate ‘Enable Quote Module’.
- Select Yes from the drop-down and Save the changes.
Does the solution store these quotes anywhere?
All the quotes generated, approved, and rejected by the customers are stored in the customer accounts on the storefront. The customer will be able to view all his quotes till date from his “My Accounts”.
Admin also can view all the quotes placed by each customer from the Quote Management>>View Quotes.
Can my customers place orders directly using the quotes stored in their accounts?
Yes, your customers can use the quotes stored in their accounts and place orders. When the customer Accepts/Approves the quote, it will be converted into an order.
Can my customers place the quotation for multiple quantities for a single product?
Yes, your customers will be able to place the quotation for multiple quantities (maximum three) different quantities. By default, it is single, and to allow multiple quantities to your customers, you have to enable this functionality from the Store configuration >> Settings >> Store configuration >> ”Quote Request Quantity”>> Multiple:
Can my customers place the quotation for multiple products in a single request?
Your customers will be able to place the quotation for multiple products in a single request for that you need to enable the settings from the store configuration.
Default it is single and to allow multiple products in a single quotation for your customers, you have to enable this functionality from the Store configuration>>Settings>>Store configuration>> “Quote Request Product” >>Multiple
After enabling the option for multiple products, the customer has to click on “Save and Add New product” on the storefront while requesting the quote:
Can my customers send me a quote request on special orders?
Yes, your customers can send you a quote request for special orders from the storefront from Request a Quote link.
Can my customers reorder using earlier quotes?
No, your customer cannot reorder directly from my account section, however, your customer can raise a reorder request to reorder an order to you for reorder.
Can I add an offline quote? If yes, then how?
Yes, just like your customer places a quotation request from your website, you can also place a similar quote from the Admin Panel. Learn how you can add an offline quote from the admin panel.
I would like to modify the quote form fields, is it possible?
Yes, it is possible. You can create the quote form fields as per your need. Moreover, you can also create the form field for a particular product i.e. product-wise form field.
E.g. If you create a quote form field for the standard business card then that form field will only be displayed on the storefront when the customer selects the standard business card. This form field will not be available/displayed for any other product.

If a quote gets rejected, can I continue further negotiations with my customer and provide another quote?
Yes, if your customer rejects your quote you can carry on further negotiations and provide a second quote through our solution.
How can I assign quotes to printers?
As soon as a customer requests a quote from their My Account section, you will receive the quote request in the Admin Panel. You can check the request from the Admin >> Quote Management >> View Quotes:
There you’ll see that the latest quote in the system has the status of ‘Quotation Pending’. You can also check the Quote Details, such as title, product details, quotes created date, and more.
Now, if you have added Printers into your system from the Business Partners module then, the Printer column will display a pen-like icon.
You can assign the quote to the printer i.e. ask them for their quotation of the product(s):
Select product(s), printer, keep a due date, and click on the Save. The printer’s drop-down will list all the printer tags; you can anytime filter the printers using the same.
Once you have assigned the quote to a printer then, they’ll receive a notification in their Admin Panel. Know more about the Printer Quotes.
Can I convert the Quote to an Order?
Yes, you can convert the Quote to an Order from the Admin Panel with/without it being approved by your end customers.
Example: You receive a Quotation Request via email and it’s finalized over email itself. You might want to maintain this quotation in OnPrintShop.
This feature will benefit the Super Admin, Sub-Admin, and the Branch Admin.
Now, the Action Menu of the quote will contain a new option namely “Convert to order”:
What is Quote Status?
"The different stages of the quote are called Quote Status."
For example, if the customer has placed the quotation, then the status would be "pending" or whatever name given by the Admin. When the Admin reviews the quote and replies to it then, the quote status would be "Quote Processing".
Can I add or delete the Quote Status?
No, you cannot add or delete the Quote Status.
