Yes, it is possible to assign product-wise shipping methods with the "Product Specific Shipping" option. With this, you can assign shipping methods to all or selected products.
Admin can add markups and create markup rules on the shipping prices. After configuring shipping types and settings you can add Markup and Delivery days for the third-party shipping methods only.
For the USA region, we offer Address Validation feature. This will help you to overcome the issues faced with false addresses.
If the shipping gateway integrated into your system offers Address Validation Service, then it will be listed in the dropdown. Next, you’ll have to configure all the required details of the selected shipping method.

Yes, you can add a tracking number to orders and send shipping notifications.
Click on the pencil-like icon to update the order and enter the Tracking Number after selecting the Shipping Method and Shipping Type.

Yes, you can create shipping zones country-wise, states/provinces, or zipcode-wise. For this, you need to set the value of setting – Shipping Price Setup Based On as Country and State (CS).
To create the shipping zones as multiple states/provinces in different countries, check the Zone Management section.
The ShipStation shipping method works similarly to any other third-party shipping services provider such as UPS or FedEx. It helps in displaying the shipping cost, generating shipping labels, and providing the tracking number.
On the other hand, the ShipStation Fulfillment API allows the admin to sync the orders via XML and fulfill the order delivery from the ShipStation Dashboard. You can learn how to integrate the API with your OPS Store from our integration guide.
If you are looking to charge taxes on Shipping Prices, then while adding a tax enable the setting – Calculate on Shipping Price?
This will calculate tax on product subtotal as well as on Shipping prices.
You can set tax rates in different ways – Flat tax rate, country-wise, state-wise (Country and State), or area-wise (Country and Zip code).
It is advisable to refer to a local tax authority or a tax accountant to make sure you charge correct tax rates from your customers, and also you file and pay the taxes correctly.

If you are serving certain kinds of customers whom you don’t want to include in the taxation cycle, then you can exempt them.
For every customer in Action Menu >> Edit you’ll find a Tax Exempt setting. Enabling the setting will remove the customers from the taxation cycle and they'll not be charged for any taxes.
Similarly, for Store under Action Menu >> Edit you’ll find a setting Allow Tax Exemption. Enabling it will make all the store customers tax-free.
